Meghan C. Cooper Selected for WBA’s 2020 Women’s Leadership Initiative

Peabody & Arnold is pleased to announce that Meghan C. Cooper has been selected by the Women’s Bar Association, to participate in its 2020 Women’s Leadership Initiative (“WLI”). The WLI was launched in 2009 by a group of leaders in our legal community eager to give back to the next generation of promising women attorneys.  The program brings together senior women attorneys and rising stars of the legal profession for leadership development and mentoring. Over the next 12 months, WLI will provide participants with opportunities to work with role models and peers, build networks and gain exposure to leadership positions.  WLI alumni include Attorney General Maura Healey and other high-ranking government attorneys, law firm partners, and accomplished in-house attorneys.

According to the WBA’s recent announcement regarding the newest class of rising stars selected for the WLI:  “The 2020 WLI Class includes women practicing in firms, government, and in-house, touching a wide variety of sectors/industries including the criminal justice system, higher education, legal services, and the financial services and biotechnology industries.  With a record number of applicants this year, it is clear that the desire for leadership training and building connections with accomplished women lawyers is strong.”  Additional information regarding the WBA and the WLI can be found at the following link:  https://wbawbf.org/content/womens-bar-association-selects-newest-class-rising-stars-womens-leadership-initiative
