Stephanie assists Fortune 500 insurance carriers as insurance coverage and monitoring counsel specializing in claims under directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary liability and professional liability policies.
She brings extensive experience and practical problem-solving skills to assess the extent of coverage for all forms of civil and criminal litigation against officers, directors and employees of corporations, government entities, non-profit organizations, and universities. In particular, she specializes in securities fraud litigation under federal and state laws, investigations by governmental agencies, shareholder derivative suits, bankruptcy litigation and employment practices claims.
In her role as monitoring counsel, Stephanie communicates with defense counsel and the insured regarding the status and strategy of the litigation and provides insurance carriers with her assessment of potential liability, exposure and damages. She also reviews and audits legal fees and costs, negotiates and drafts allocation agreements for defense fees and settlement contributions, and represents insurance carriers at settlement conferences and mediation.
