Stephanie represents U.S. and international based insurers in coverage matters with a focus on transactional liability.  Her representation in these matters specifically involves claims and coverage issues arising under representations and warranties (RWI) policies in connection with M&A transactions.  The claimed values in these dispute range from hundreds of thousands to billions of dollars.  The transactions underlying these policies involve a diverse range of companies and industries across the world and disputes in international and domestic forums.  The types of dispute include accuracy of financial statements, loss of customers, condition of assets such as real property, IT and equipment, unpaid taxes, IP rights, and compliance with laws.  In addition, she advises insurers regarding subrogation rights arising out of payment of RWI claims.  Stephanie’s previous experience as coverage counsel for insurers of financial lines policies gives her unique perspectives and experiences that are beneficial to her clients beyond just evaluating coverage.  Stephanie uses her coverage experience to conduct thorough investigations of the claim, work effectively with consultants, provide clear analysis regarding breach and loss, and advise her clients regarding efficient claim resolution and other legal considerations.  With over 15 years of coverage experience, she brings extensive experience and problem-solving skills to investigating claims, all while grounded in the practicality of impact and commercial objectives.
