Joseph’s civil litigation practice focuses on insurance coverage disputes. He has experience advising insurers on complex coverage questions and avoidance of bad faith claims handling practices. He also has experience representing and defending insurers in actions for declaratory judgment, breach of contract, and other civil claims.
Joseph previously practiced veterans law as an appellate attorney. He represented veterans in their appeals of Board of Veterans Appeals decisions at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and at the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
During law school, Joseph represented clients charged with criminal offenses in the Boston Municipal Court as a defender in the criminal law clinic. He also clerked at a relator’s counsel law firm on matters arising out of the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law.
