Colleen Hennessey is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Group with a particular emphasis in pharmaceutical and healthcare litigation.  She represents major pharmaceutical companies in defending complex product liability and mass tort litigation.  Ms. Hennessey has served as co-coordinating counsel for a major pharmaceutical company in the defense of mass tort litigation including claims related to psychiatric and birth defect injuries.  Ms. Hennessey has tried to verdict various claims including cases for wrongful death, misdiagnosis, attempted suicide, and alleged systemic injury from a pharmaceutical product.  Ms. Hennessey was a member of the trial team who obtained the first defense verdicts for a major pharmaceutical company in mass tort litigation involving alleged systemic injuries from a pharmaceutical product.  In defending such cases, Ms. Hennessey has been admitted pro hac vice in numerous states around the country.  Ms. Hennessey has also served as lead counsel in evidentiary hearings challenging the admissibility of expert testimony.  Ms. Hennessey has in-depth knowledge in a variety of scientific disciplines and has developed a unique ability to find and retain effective expert witnesses. 

Ms. Hennessey also has significant experience defending healthcare professionals in malpractice litigation and before administrative agencies and regulatory boards.  Ms. Hennessey has defended a variety of healthcare professionals including physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, nurses, chiropractors, podiatrists, home health aids and nursing home facilities.
