Toxic Tort Litigation

Main Contact:
Susan E. Cohen
scohen@peabodyarnold.com

For over 25 years Peabody & Arnold has successfully handled a variety of cases involving mold, multiple chemical exposure, latex gloves, asbestos, lead paint, tetraethyl lead, lead-based products, pharmaceutical drugs, and other toxic substances. We have successfully defended numerous companies and products not only in Massachusetts, but around New England and in more than 15 states.

We often defend clients whose products are new to us when the client first consults us. We are adept at learning about and defending such products.

We are comfortable with the science involved with clients' products. We have contacts with medical and scientific experts in the disciplines most often encountered in Toxic Tort cases, such as engineers, chemists, statisticians, epidemiologists, toxicologists, economists, psychologists, biopharmacologists, neurologists, neuropsychologists, and materials scientists.

We serve as defense counsel for Massachusetts-based litigation or as national trial counsel where the client has been sued in multiple jurisdictions. For nationally based litigation where the client already has national counsel, we often serve as local or regional counsel. We also assist clients with labeling, development of warnings, and other risk assessment issues.
