Richard L. Nahigian


Rick Nahigian's practice focuses on the defense of health care liability, products liability, and professional liability claims, as well as business and commercial litigation.  He is experienced in the defense of complex product liability cases, including toxic tort litigation as well as drug and medical device litigation.  His experience also includes litigation involving trade associations and nonprofit fundraising agreements. Mr. Nahigian frequently defends professional liability claims against mental healthcare professionals, and he also defends claims against lawyers, real estate professionals, school administrators, government officials, and other professionals.

He has significant experience in a wide range of other areas, including the defense of fair debt collection and fair credit reporting cases, employment litigation, securities litigation, aviation litigation, and insurance coverage. In addition to his trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts, he has represented clients before a variety of administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing, the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Psychologists, the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Workers, the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professionals, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Massachusetts Securities Division. Mr. Nahigian also provides risk management services to licensed mental health counselors and clinical social workers throughout Massachusetts in cooperation with professional associations and liability insurance programs.
