Phil Cronin's practice has spanned more than 50 years; he specializes in civil litigation and appeals. Mr. Cronin has tried numerous complex cases involving a broad spectrum of disputes. Some of the areas in which he has extensive expertise are: anti-trust; land use; land valuation including eminent domain (a case against the Central Artery Project filed by the Boston Wharf Company in 1998 resulted in the largest land damage settlement in the history of the Commonwealth); construction and engineering; fidelity and surety; reinsurance; trade secrets with a specialty in defense contracts, and municipal law (he has counseled more than 20 cities and towns in Massachusetts). Mr. Cronin is widely published. He has argued many cases in appellate courts in various jurisdictions.
