Michael J. GriffinPARTNER Michael Griffin’s practice focuses on the defense of healthcare liability and professional liability claims, as well as product liability and insurance coverage matters. In the area of healthcare liability, Mr. Griffin defends healthcare providers, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. He also has extensive experience in the defense of professional liability claims against lawyers, real estate professionals, insurance agents, and accountants. His practice includes the representation of insurers in coverage disputes, primarily involving professional liability and directors and officers insurance policies. Mr. Griffin tries cases in state and federal courts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and other jurisdictions. He handles civil appeals in both the state and federal courts. In addition, Mr. Griffin has significant experience representing clients before various administrative agencies including the Massachusetts Boards of Registration in Medicine, Nursing and Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professionals. He has served as a faculty member for continuing legal education programs and has published articles in the area of healthcare liability.
