Harvey WeinerPARTNER Harvey Weiner founded the firm's Professional Liability Practice Group. His own practice focuses on the defense of civil cases, particularly in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage litigation, employment, and directors and officers. He also has extensive experience in the areas of insurance coverage, the defense of insurers and the defense of credit unions. In the past twenty years, Mr. Weiner has handled the defense of over 600 legal malpractice cases in New England and over 150 employment cases. Over the years, he has had over 80 published opinions in which he was counsel. He is a member of the National Legal Malpractice Conference, and speaks on legal malpractice and insurance issues before local, state, and national law association groups and before insurers. Mr. Weiner has been selected to be included in the “Best Lawyers” for both legal malpractice and insurance law and was named as Best Lawyers’ 2012 Boston Lawyer of the Year for Insurance Law. He has been selected every year as a Massachusetts and a New England “Super Lawyer” in a joint survey conducted by the publishers of Law & Politics magazine and Boston magazine. He has had an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell for decades. For more than ten years, Mr. Weiner was town counsel to Millis, Massachusetts and, at various times has been special town counsel to the towns of Medfield, Plymouth, Wellesley, Somerset and Tewksbury. He is a former president of the Massachusetts Association of Town Counsel and City Solicitors, a former co-president of the Boston American Inn of Court, and has been an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.
