Kristin Griffin has served as insurance coverage and monitoring counsel specializing in claims under Directors and Officers, Employment Practices, Fiduciary Liability and Professional Liability policies. She has extensive experience assessing the extent of coverage under professional liability policy for all forms of civil litigation against corporate directors and officers, including securities fraud litigation under federal and state laws, investigations by governmental agencies, shareholder derivative suits, employment practices claims and civil rights claims. In her role as monitoring counsel, Ms. Griffin maintains contact with defense counsel and the insured regarding status and strategy and provides the carrier with her assessment of potential liability, exposure and damages under the policy. She also reviews and audits defense fees and costs, negotiates allocation agreements for defense fees and settlement contributions and frequently represents the carrier at settlement conferences and mediation.

Ms. Griffin also has served as defense counsel in cases involving construction litigation, premises liability and negligent security, civil rights and motor vehicle torts.
